The Dane Bank Creatures

The Dane Bank flyer or crawler, tumbler or taller.
Creeping smaller, the watcher, the hooter, the glider.
The searcher, the finder, the long-tailed swisher.
The swimmer, the climber the underground digger.
The Dane Bank greener happier, messier friend.
Playing in the leaves, climbing trees, crafting a den and counting to ten.
Hiding and running, following the stoned chipped road.
Whirling and spinning and breathing in the fresh air.
Splashing and dipping to find out what is in the deep.
A pond with a wish and natural water fish.
A willow arch to wonder through and a child’s go wild park.
A babbling trickling overflow from one pond to another passing through.
The water explores the landscape, and the creatures do too.
Whistling of the wind in the community trees.
The Dane Bank green is growing seeds, from small to older, to mature to remember.
The moments in this green space are continually new, I might not see the same as you.
Sense or hear or touch or smell, but we will all have our own story to tell.
We followed the trail, we learned, we laughed, we listened and we saw.
This is what a community Dane Bank Green Space is for.
So, whatever the creature that wonders this land, you are all included and you all belong.
