Rana is lost and what could he be?

Wiggle and jiggle, where am I? Said Rana and what am I? all very confused he sat with a sigh. I must have dozed off when my leader said follow, and now I’m in a ditch and its dry and hollow. I can hear children playing so it must be morning, is it time to head home? I really don’t think it’s safe to be left here alone.

What am I? I am rather slimy and my eyes are big and round. I have all four feet on the ground. I feel like I need water to get me around. When I talk it is like singing a song and I wonder who can hear me? A trail of footprints left but they do not belong to someone like me, yippee, let’s take a leap one two three and maybe I can see. The grass is swishing and there is a crunch beneath my feet. If I can jump with a rhythm, I can create a beat. Hello, hello can anybody hear? I can see a gathering of birds but they are too high, hello, hello is anyone passing by.
